Company
′... There was nothing more beautiful than a well hoed vineyard, well tied, with the right leaves and that smell of burnt landby the August sun. A well-worked vineyard is like a healthy and living body, which has its breath, its smell...′
(from La Luna e i Falò di C.Pavese)

From its foundation to the present, the company, based in Calamandra in the Monferrato hills, has about 25 hectares of vineyards, sites in the hills of Nizza Monferrato, Calamandra and Costigliole D'Asti: all exclusively owned by the family and direct condution. The vineyards, composed of various types of soils including clay, limestone and sandy, are planted with a simple guyot with a fruit branch and a renewal spur.
A short pruning and a limited yield are determining factors in order to allow an excellent ripening and a good relationship between sugar and acidity: the result is unique wines in terms of breadth of fragrances and richness of aromas. The best way to appreciate and know the fruits of our work is definitely a visit to our cellar, where you can taste the wines surrounded by a family and friendly atmosphere.
Winery
While remaining linked to the great rural traditions, the company wanted to equip its cellar with new technologies to always get the best from its products. From the harvest, rigorously made by hand as if to evoke the festive days of the past, we switch to very modern processing techniques that lead to the finished product. The pressing is done with soft systems in order to not tear the skins, the fermentations take place at a controlled and programmed temperature to obtain from each wine the maximum of aromas and flavors. On the black berried wines are used special winemakers that allow to gently wet the skins with the must through automated rotary sprayers; on the white ones cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation of the must. For Moscato and Brachetto, fermentation take place in an autoclave at controlled temperature to obtain a natural foam. Finally, a good aging gives the wine its greatness and elegance so that true wine lovers can appreciate them at their best.
